Another way to get a good copywriting headline is to search for the niche on www.digg.com. All you need to do is key in the keywords for the right topic. For example, you are looking for a good headline for your weight loss minisite – just key in the keyword “Atkin’s diet” or “Fat Loss 4 Idiots” in www.digg.com and the best headline will pop up.

It makes sense because when someone searches for news, only the topic that catches the most attention will appear on top or on the first page.

Later on, you will need to tell a good story. Remember, stories always sell. Both men and women, young or old love stories and that is why the entertainment industry always have such a huge market. When you tell a story to your prospect, your copywriting will take effect and you can sell more.

The last thing you need to remember about basic copywriting is that you need to focus on the importance of the concept. A good concept is always something that will catch your attention. If you heard from a friend that a magician could float in mid air, would you go and take a look to see if a human being can fly? Of course such a claim is outrageous but at the end of the day, outrageous concepts will always sell compared to boring old normal ones. It’s all about psychology.
